ENCOMIUM AS GAGDI BAGS RATTAWU HUMANITY AWARDSThe sterling leadership qualities of Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives was in the spotlight on Friday 28th August, 2020 as Plateau State Chapter of the Radio and Theater Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) honored the quintessential lawmaker with their prestigious 'Humanity Award' in recognition of his people centred representation as a federal lawmaker in the past one year that he has been in the National Assembly.Presenting the award at a well attended ceremony at the National Film Institute, Jos Chairman of the association said the choice of Gagdi to be honoured with the award was necessitated by his people oriented representation in the provision of dividends of democracy, which has impacted positively on his constituents within his short stay at the National Assembly, and further accentuated by the indisputable evidence of his efforts at advancing the course of humanity through adequate representation in appropriate quarters. Adding that RATTAWU in Plateau state is also a beneficiary of the lawmaker's magnanimity.RATTAWU is a recognized body of media and cultural workers, which was established as the 25th affiliate trade union with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on first November 1977. The body comprises Radio and TV presenters, producers, film distributors, workers in Music industry, Arts Councils, operators of cinemas and allied services amongst others.Present at the event were the Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Sale Shehu Yipmong, the Rector of NTA Television College, Dr Bananas Gbam, the GM of PRTVC, Mr Jeftha Jackden, Director of Culture and Hospitality as well as the Permanent Secretary of the the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. Also in attendance were representatives of Hon. Maitala Jingir, member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency, the chief of Igala in Plateau State
