Pankshin Lgc Unmasks Two Years Achievements With Projects Spread Across All The 20 Electoral wards . Report by Walin Ron

Hon Sir Damap, John Danladi (ksm) Score Card as the Executive chairman of Pankshin LGC


There is no doubt that within two years in office, Hon Sir John Danladi Damap (KSM), has made appreciable progress as the Executive Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Council. 

In fulfilment of his campaigned promises to the people of Pankshin Local Government Area. The Executive Chairman on assumption of office  embarked on some major projects which have direct bearings on the lives of the people that cuts across the length and breath of Pankshin. They are :

1: Grading of 16km road network in pankshin, Pyantul, Fier road with 7 box culverts. 

2:  Drilling of motorized borehole at Abwor-Dyis. 

3:  Re-activation of broken motorized borehole and a generating plant at Kururuwa in Pankshin  Town. 

4:  Construction of drainage at the PHC Secretariat in Pankshin Town. 

5:   Construction of two (2) Box culverts at Kingiring in Pankshin Town. 

6:  Construction of District Head Office at Dok-Pai. 

7:  Renovation of the following Districts offices:
a:Lankan,
b:Chip,
c:Tal,
d:Fier,
e:Kadung.

8 -Another feat achieved by the present administration of Sir John Damap, was the procurement of new brand Highlander Jeeps(Toyota made) to our newly upgraded Chiefs by his Excellency the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt Hon.Dr.Simon Bako Lalong. The beneficiaries include :
a:Mupun Chiefdom, 
b:Mhiship Chiefdom, 
c:Tal Chiefdom, 
d:Pai Chiefdom, 
e:Kadung Chiefdom 

9:  The council also purchased a Highlander Toyota Jeep for the Council's Secretary. 


10:  The Local Government Council also bought and completed an investment  house in Pankshin with Eight (8) two Bedrooms flats, two oneself contain and Eighteen (18) Lock-up shops combine to boost our Internally Generated Revenue. This is because the revenue profile of the Local Government is too low. 

11:  Rehabilitation of Kor Bridge. 

12:  The council also refurbished all the Office Chairs. 

13:  To ease our approach to electrification of some villages in Dangmet,  Kagu, Tilengdyes, and Sihin, we therefore paid in a counterpart funds to the Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA)  to facilitate action of this gigantic project .

14:  In our resolution as a council, we released funds to the elected councillors of the (20) electoral wards to impact in the various wards they represent.

 Such us :
- Lankan ward: renovation of 2 classrooms block.
- Jing ward: renovation of 3 classrooms block.
-Kagu ward: renovation of PHC Clinic.
- Longbam ward: renovation of PHC Clinic.
- Chip central ward: drilling of 2 hand-pump boreholes.
- Kangmun ward: building of 2 classrooms block.
- Tal A ward: drilling of hand- pump borehole.
- Tal B ward: renovation of 2 classrooms block.
- Kadung ward: construction of Culvert.
- Fier ward: rehabilitation of Takkas village head office.
- Pankshin central ward: construction of Culverts.
- Wuchenbe ward: construction of Culvert.
- Wuseli ward: construction of village head office.
- Mukang/Nyelleng ward: renovation of 2 classrooms block.
- Wokkos ward: renovation of 2 classrooms block.
- Kasgong ward: construction of  box Culvert.
- Kangshu ward: renovation of 2 classrooms block.

To his credit within the last 24 months in office, currently, on going, are the  construction of 26 lock-up shops at the popular Pankshin monday market and construction of 24 lock-up shops at Dyis market, all with a view to improve on the internally generated revenue of the Local Government Council.

The Executive Chairman also disclosed that the council will soon embarked on commissioning of completed projects across the local government area, while promising that all ongoing projects will be completed in no distance time.

Hon Sir John Danladi  Damap (ksm), the Executive Chairman of Pankshin Local Government council, his passion and dexterity is to leave indelible footprints in the Local Government's landscape.


15:  For further development of the local Government, we purchased five (5) hecters of land in Pankshin for Skill Acquisition Centre. 

16:  We purchased Hydro foam machines for moulding of blocks and interlocks for commercial purposes. 

17:  During the lock-down period  260bags of maize /millet were bought and distributed as palliatives to alleviate the sufferings and hardships of our people.

We are equally delighted to inform you that there are also ongoing projects. They are :

18:  Complete restructuring of the secretariat Complex to a modern standard. 

19:  Drilling of motorized borehole at Ballang-Kalep. 

20:  Construction of PHC clinic at Kadyis

21: Renovation /Rehabilitation of PHC clinic at  Tin-Jim. 

22:  Construction of a double cell box culvert at Amnat.
