ANNOUNCEMENT NAFEST 2020 CLOSING CEREMONY The National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST) currently holding in Jos, Plateau State, will come to a close on Saturday, 28th November, 2020. Time: 12:00 noon. Venue: Rwang Pam Township Stadium. The event will be preceded by a golf tournament at the Rayfield Golf Club. Tee off time is at 7:00 a.m. with the presentation of gifts and trophies at 4:00 p.m. The closing ceremony will be televised live on both NTA and PRTV both Radio and TV. Lalong Directs Immediate Payment Of Salaries To Local Government And Primary School Workers Amidst Negotiations On The Implementation Of The New Minimum Wage.

Plateau state governor, Simon lalong has directed the immediate payment of salaries to workers at the local government and primary school level amidst negotiations  on the implementation of the new minimum wage. This was contained in a press release  signed by the commissioner of the ministry for local government and chieftancy affairs, SD TAPGUN. The statement says Governor Lalong who appreciated  Labour  in the state for their understanding  assured of his administration's commitment  to ensure industrial harmony despite lean resources.  The statement also notes that Governor  Lalong has  convened an emergency meeting of relevant stakeholders to address the implementation of minimum  wage and decried the hardship workers  at the local government and primary school level  have had to endure. Operation Safe Haven Parades 33 Suspected Cultists, Armed Robbers in Jos, Recover Guns & Other Dangerous Weapons 27NOV In its commitment to rid Plateau State of cultists, armed robbers, kidnappers and restore peace in the State, the Operation Safe Haven today paraded 33 Suspects in Jos Metropolis after raiding their hideouts. They suspects were arrested from Terminus Market, Rwang Pam Street, Rochas Building and Angwan Rukuba all in Jos North LGA. In the same light, the troops engaged a gang of armed Robbers along Angul-D to Maraban Jama’a Road in Jos South LGA. One of the armed robber was neutralized in the exchange while others fled with bullet wounds. A locally made pistol and ammunitions were also recovered from the armed robbers.
