Plateau College of Health Technology, Pankshin Matriculates 640 Students For 2020/2021 Academic Session
PLATEAU COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY, PANKSHIN MATRICULATES 640 STUDENTS FOR 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION.

A total of 640 students took the matriculation oath for the 2020/2021 academic session of the Plateau state College of Health Technology, Pankshin.
Speaking at the event, Provost of the College, Dr Francis Fwangje congratulated the students for scaling through rigorous screening process for admission in the College, he explained that matriculation ceremony marks their formal admission as bona fide members of the College of Health Technology, Pankshin, stressing that they were expected to obey all the rules and regulations of the Institution and also exhibit a high degree of personal discipline as a precondition to success in their studies and future career.
Fwangje asserted that it is the intention of the College and Plateau state Government to provide the needed manpower that will carter for the primary health care needs of the people, and this has been the guiding philosophy of the Institution since its establishment in 1976.
The Provost thanked the administration of Governor Simon Lalong for providing an enabling environment that has brought about the industrial harmony amongst staff and students . Pointing out that the extensive renovations and constructions in the Institution is from the meagre internally generated revenue from the College.
Guest Speaker at the occasion, Sani Wungak'ah who spoke on the topic DEVELOPING A LIFELONG CAREER IN NIGERIA TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS highlited the components of career development to include, education, capability, network and experience.
Wungak'ah pointed out that the biggest challenge of career development in Nigeria is the falling standard of education which is the driving force of career development.
Commissioner for Higher Education in Plateau state, Audu Kak'mena who was represented by a Director from the Ministry, Sunday Dayu, advised the students to be serious if they hope to excel in their chosen career, reiterating the commitments of the Plateau state Government to make them better, responsible and good ambassadors of the College even after their graduation.
Provost, Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Amos Cirfat through the College Librarian, Samson Ainoko, challenged the matriculants to see themselves as fortunate ones to be admitted into the College, stressing that it is one thing to be admitted into a programme, and it is another thing to take the programme serious and it is another thing all together to graduate from the programme with a flying colours. And wished that all of them will graduate with a flying colours at the end of their studies.
Oath Commissioner at the occasion, Barr Victor Gomwalk, said oath taken is an attestation and a promised to tell the truth and a fulfilment before God and whoever violates will bear the consequences that will follow.
Also speaking at the event, the acting district head of Pankshin, Monday Gokum congratulated the matriculants and implored them to take their studies seriousness.
