FCE PANKSHIN: Two Former Students Of The Federal College Of Education Pankshin Have Bagged The Presidential NYSC Merit Award For Outstanding Performance During Their Service Years. Report by Istifanus Kyakmut .
Two former students of the Federal College of Education Pankshin have bagged the Presidential NYSC Merit Award for outstanding performance during their service years.
The affected students are Lar Nacit and Agbo Alice who both graduated from the English and Admin and Planning Departments respectively from the College.
The two were among the one hundred and sixty eight (168) Corpers who emerged winners from the 2015, 2016 and 2017 service years nationwide.
The College graduands recipients who served in Gombe and Sokoto states during their service years had also earlier bagged the First Lady's Award Certificate by the First Ladies of the affected states.
Speaking on behalf of the awardees during a visit to the College, Lar Nacit said they were back to their Alma-Mata to show appreciation to the authorities for moulding them well.
The Presidential Recipients expressed gratitude to the Provost, Management, Lecturers and the entire College Community for their collective responsibilities in ensuring high standards and quality learning in the institution which they are direct beneficiaries.
They commended particularly the leadership styles of the Provost, Dr Amos Bulus Cirfat who has always ensured that enabling facilities are put in place as well as conducive atmosphere for effective learning to strive and called for the renewal of second tenure of the Provost.
In his remarks, Provost of the College, Dr Amos Bulus Cirfat said he was proud to receive the Awardees and congratulated them for being good Ambassadors to the institution.
Dr Amos Cirfat maintained that their emergence as Presidential Awardees was a thing of joy and also an indication that there is quality in the College in terms of academic pursuits and moral moulding which he pledged to sustain and improve upon.
The Provost commeded the Deans and Lecturers of the institution for their sacrifices and commitment to duty which has brought about this success story among many others.
The Award came with scholarship to Ph.D level, employment and Certificate of recognition among others.
Registrar of the College, Honsuk Elizabeth Yiltong in a vote of thanks expressed gratitude to God for this feast by the former students of the College and urged the Awardees to continue in that direction for higher goals.
