Pankshin Lgc To Partner With Nigerian Legion, Orther Security Outfits To Ensure Lives And Property Of Citizens Are Protected
Pankshin Local Government Council Chairman, John Damap has commended the Nigerian Legion in Pankshin for always collaborating with other security agencies in the Local Government area in maintaining peace across the local government area.
Damap praised the Armed Forces personnel particularly those who fought during the Nigerian Civil wars, first and second world wars and other peace keeping operations helped in no small measure in uniting the Country and also peace and security of the nation and other nations.
The Council Chairman lamented that some lost their lives in the cause of these operations while others have become either deaf, dump, crippled or other forms of disability. The fallen Heroes left behind widows and children, some orphans who need to be taken care of. He further promised them that as a council, they will continue to support the families of the fallen heroes. This is because we know some of the problems they are facing in this our difficult time. According to him, We will continue to partner with you for the growth and development of the nation.
Earlier in his welcome address , Chairman, Nigerian Legion Pankshin, retired Major Ayuba Jimang, commended the chairman and his principal officers for celebrating them and always being there for the legionnaires at critical moments.
Jimang pledged the readiness of the legion to work with the council toward maintaining peace and security of Pankshin in order to meet the much-desired development of the area.
Also speaking at the occasion, Provost, Federal College of Education Pankshin, Dr Amos Cirfat who was represented by the Dean student Affairs, John Mafwalai, commended the security roles the legionnaires were playing in the society and charged them not to relent.
He said: ”For the fact that you have retired from service, your contributions are very much needed to help the country to overcome her security challenges and build a virile and vibrant nation.
