Lalong Constitutes 7-Man Committee to Address PLASU Staff Welfare  The Plateau State Government has announced the composition of a 7-man committee to negotiate the welfare of academic and non-teaching staff of Plateau State University, Bokkos. IRT Police Neutralizes Two Notorious Kidnappers in Plateau State Men of the Police's Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Plateau Stateon Sunday 17th January, 2021 gunned down the two notorious kidnappers along Jos-Mangu Road following intelligence reports gathered about the nefarious activities of the kidnappers.  There was intense gun battle between the security operatives of the Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team and the criminal elements in which two of the kidnappers were neutralized. The news of the demise of AIG Daniel Shok Bature (Rtd) Psc+, Fdc, Msc on the 8th January, 2021 came with profound grief and sadness to me, my family and the good people of Riyom Local Government Area. Late AIG D. S. Bature (Rtd) was a true patriot whose meritorious service in the Nigerian Police for 35 years had a huge impact in the force, especially at the police cooperative where he served as chairman. And to us, he was a great father and leader we have looked up to. Pankshin Local Government Council Chairman, John Damap has commended the Nigerian Legion in Pankshin  for always collaborating with other security agencies in the Local Government area in maintaining peace across the local government area. Damap praised the Armed Forces personnel particularly those who fought during the Nigerian Civil wars, first and second world wars and other peace keeping operations helped in no small measure in uniting the Country and also peace and security of the nation and other nations. Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu had said government would review the date of resumption and would get back to  the public as cases of COVID-19 moves up.
